According to the Department of Tourism of Quang Ninh province, in the first 8 months of the year, Quang Ninh welcomed 9.2 million tourists, an increase of 25% compared to the same period in 2017, reaching 73% of the year’s target.<\/p>\n

Specifically, with 3.2 million international visitors to Quang Ninh, an 18% increase compared to the same period, reaching 65% of the year’s target. Total revenue from tourism reached over 16,000 billion VND, a 29% increase compared to the same period, reaching 73% of the year’s target.<\/p>\n

2018 was a year with many important events for Quang Ninh province. As the host of National Tourism Year 2018, Quang Ninh is focusing on developing four main types of tourism: sea and island tourism, cultural and spiritual tourism, community tourism, and border tourism. Besides attractive tourism products, the quality of services, tourism infrastructure, and transportation at tourist areas have also been significantly improved.<\/p>\n

Many exciting and vibrant tourist activities take place, such as the Yen Tu Festival, Ngoa Van Pagoda Festival, Cua Ong Temple Festival, the Cherry Blossom – Yen Tu Apricot Blossom Festival, etc., which have attracted a large number of domestic and international tourists to Quang Ninh.<\/p>\n

In particular, economic development projects are creating favorable conditions for tourists to easily come to Quang Ninh, such as the Bach Dang Bridge belonging to the Ha Noi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh expressway project, Van Don International Airport, etc. Large corporations in the entertainment industry are also investing heavily in developing entertainment activities such as the Queen Cable Car, Sun World Ha Long Park, Cat Ba Cable Car, etc., and superior resort tourism products are carefully invested in to increase the quality of tourism for visitors when coming to this coastal province.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Quang Ninh’s tourism industry set a target of receiving 12 million visitors, including 5 million international visitors, with total revenue from tourism reaching 22,000 billion VND. With the theme “Ha Long – Heritage, Wonder – Friendly Destination,” Quang Ninh promises to be an attractive destination with exciting experiences, featuring 50 cultural, sporting, and tourism events throughout 2018.<\/p>\n
